Welcome to Buddy Bones, the first turn-based dominoes app that allows you to play against your buddies. Buddy Bones was designed to bring that same sense of camaraderie and competition once found around kitchen and park bench tables, to your favorite Apple mobile device.

How do I turn push notifications on/off?

Notifications can be toggled on and off through your device's settings. For an Apple device go to "Settings" then choose the "Notifications" option. From here you may customize your Buddy Bones notifications.

Why can't I draw from the Boneyard at any time?

If you have a playable bone, you are not allowed to draw for these reasons:

  • Reason 1: prevents players only needing a score to win the game from continuously drawing bones until a scoring piece is pulled.
  • Reason 2: Prevents player from drawing all the bones from the Boneyard in order to calculate which pieces the opponent holds; they would then have the ability to lock the opponent out while simultaneously scoring points.

What is the BuddyNetwork?

Located at the bottom left of the home page is our in-game social network which allows you to connect with buddies around the globe. Navigate through your buddy's buddies to find new, existing, and long lost pals and competitors.

How do I find a Buddy already on Buddy Bones?

There are a few ways to do this:

  • 1. Ask that Buddy for their Screen Name
  • 2. Search through users profiles by touching a user's name on your BuddyList. You can search through as many layers of users' profiles as you want in order to find new competitors.
  • 3. Search your Facebook friends if logged into Facebook Connect. Note – they must be logged into Facebook Connect as well in order for them to show up as logged in.

How do I login to Facebook Connect?

If you didn’t login to Facebook Connect upon signing up for Buddy Bones, you can do so by going to the Add Buddy button and selecting "Add or Invite via Facebook".

How do I Invite a Buddy to Get a Game?

In order to invite a friend to play Buddy Bones, simply click on the Add Buddy button at the bottom of your Buddy List. You are given the option to invite a friend via your phone’s Contacts or your Facebook friends.

What is "Class"?

Class refers to a player’s level of experience based on wins. The more games you win, the higher your "Class".

How is Ratio calculated?

Your win/loss ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of wins by the total number of losses.

How is the Overall Rank calculated?

Your Overall Rank is currently calculated by taking the sum of your Wins rank and Ratio rank. The lower the number, the higher your Overall Rank. For example, if you rank 5th in Wins and 15th in Ratio, your Overall Rank sums 20. If you rank 18th in Wins and 2nd in Ratio, your Overall Rank is still a 20.

Is there a time limit for an opponent to make a move?

Yes, there is in fact a time limit for your opponent to make a move. Players who have not made a move within 5 days will forfeit the game.

This game was designed to allow our users to play at their convenience. Should an opponent’s pace not fit your style of play, we suggest searching the Stats to find players that play more often. Also, try adding more games, the odds of you having moves to be made significantly increases.

My game is frozen, what do I do?

On occasion, you may come across a bug that keeps you from making a play. If this occurs, contact support ( and let us know the following:

  • Your user name
  • Opponent's user name
  • Score of the game

Once we have this information, we'll have our tech team look into it.
